For new and returning students

VCS string orchestra 

Please note - Beginner Strings Enrollment

The Beginner String Orchestra has a limited enrollment of 12 students at a time. This allows for more individualized instruction.

If a student is not invited to enroll in Beginner Strings by Grade 3, they are strongly encouraged to:

  • Take private lessons with a string instructor for one year.

  • Join the Junior Strings program by Grade 4.

This provides a clear pathway for students, even if they don't start in the beginner program immediately.

If you are already in our strings program, you do not need to audition each year.
